HFCL to Invest ~INR 144 Crore to Set Up Optical Fiber Cable Plant in Poland

HFCL Limited has planned an investment of approximately INR 144 crore for setting up an optical fibre manufacturing facility in Poland underscoring the company’s global expansion strategy. The OFC manufacturing plant is scheduled to begin with a capacity of 3.25 million fkm and scalable up to 7 million fkm.

HFCL Limited has recently unveiled its strategic plans to expand its presence in Europe by setting up a state-of-the-art OFC manufacturing plant in Poland. This underscores the company’s global expansion strategy aimed to cater to the rising demand for OFC in European markets such as Germany, the UK, France, Belgium, Poland, etc. HFCL aims to increase the exports in the OFC vertical from 30 percent to 70 percent within the next 4-5 years to capture the booming market and establish itself as a leader in the OFC domain.

The company has planned an investment of INR 144 crore for the upcoming plant in Poland. The state-of-the-art OFC manufacturing plant is scheduled to begin with a capacity of 3.25 million fkm and scalable up to 7 million fkm. The move is expected to enhance HFCL’s agility as well as reduce the transit times by approximately six weeks, thereby increasing the order fulfillment capacity. HFCL will set up a new step-down subsidiary named, HFCL B.V, a wholly-owned subsidiary of the company in the Netherlands to facilitate the establishment of the manufacturing facility.
