NTPC Green Energy Limited has announced successful commissioning of the fifth and final part capacity of 50 MW out of the 300 MW Nokhra solar PV project at Bikaner, Rajasthan. The addition of the final part capacity brings the installed and commercial capacity of NTPC Green Energy Limited to 2,711 MW.

NTPC Green Energy Limited, a wholly owned subsidiary of NTPC Limited, has successfully commissioned 50 MW, that is the fifth and last part capacity of 300 MW Nokhra solar photovoltaic (PV) project at Bikaner, Rajasthan. The completion of the Nokhra Solar PV Project reinforces NTPC’s commitment to renewable energy expansion and its significant contribution to the clean energy sector in India.

The initial part capacity of 100 MW commenced commercial operation on December 20, 2022, after which the second part capacity of 50 MW commenced commercial operation on December 30, 2022, the third part capacity of 50 MW on February 16, 2023, and the fourth part capacity of 50 MW on April 1, 2023. With the addition of the final part capacity, the installed and commercial capacity of NTPC Green Energy Limited will become 2,711 MW, and group installed and commercial capacity of NTPC will become 72,354 MW.
