Tata Steel’s ISWP Plans Capacity Expansion in Jamshedpur Plant

Indian Steel and Wire Products (ISWP) will carry out an expansion of capacity for its rebars and wire rods, as well as HC and MS GI wires, from 2,67,000 TPA to 4,75,000 TPA in its Jamshedpur plant. The company will use a water recycling plant, low-noise machinery, and state-of-the-art pollution control equipment to achieve environment friendly operations.

Tata Steel’s subsidiary, Indian Steel and Wire Products (ISWP) is planning a capacity expansion in Jamshedpur. The expansion project primarily focuses on the increase in capacity of rebars and wire rods, from 2,67,000 TPA to 4,75,000 TPA. This will be done through debottlenecking and process optimization. The project is also aimed towards enhancing the HC and MS GI wires capacity from 62,050 TPA to 2,37,600 TPA through state-of-the-art machines within the existing premise, located at Jamshedpur in Jharkhand.
